Kate Carter - Violin

Two truly monumental pieces are the foundation for the season finale concert. Beethoven’s only concerto for the violin stands almost as a Greek temple – in remarkable symmetry and structural perfection. Elmhurst Symphony Assistant Concertmaster, Kathleen Carter, will make her solo debut. While creating his second symphony, Sibelius spoke of divine inspiration guiding this broad-shouldered work.
