The brilliant young pianist Winston Choi will perform the thrilling “Emperor” Concerto No. 5 of Beethoven. Mr. Choi is one of the most gifted pianists of his generation and winner of numerous competitions. Pianist Derrek Chung, 2010 Stanger Young Artist Winner, will play from Mozart's pristine Piano Concerto in A major. Concluding the program will be the majestic and dramatic Symphony No. 50 (Mt. St. Helens) by Alan Hovhaness. This music vividly captures the beauty of the mountain and awesome power of its famous 1980 eruption. This is a particularly exciting work for children and families!
