The Elmhurst Symphony is celebrating its 49th season of great music and is comprised of professionals, accomplished community musicians & Elmhurst College students.
The 2009-2010 Season, under the direction of Stephen Alltop, will include works such as Beethoven's "Symphony No. 7", Schubert "Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished), Bach's "Brandenberg Concerto No. 3", Verdi's "Requiem", and Symphony No. 2" by Sibelius.
Two Audition dates are available for the upcoming season:
Tuesday, September 1, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Community and Professional Auditions
held at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 155 Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst, IL 60126
Wednesday, September 9, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. College Auditions
held at Hammerschmidt Chapel on the Elmhurst College Campus, 190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, IL 60126
Interested parties should prepare one movement of a concerto or sonata and 3 - 4 excerpts of their choice.
